DESIGN COLLABORATION - LAUNCH: 25 OCTOBER
Envii x Freja Wewer
Once again we have teamed up with Freja Wewer and designed an Envii X Freja Wewer collection, which will be launched on 25 October this year. This time the collection is more daring and feminine than the previous one, though still with significant unisex styles, which have become a unique characteristic of Freja Wewer. Speaking about the new collaboration, our Head Of PR & Marketing, Sofie Niebuhr says: We have always had in mind that we wanted to give Freja a chance to design a further collection and show her that we believe in her and in the whole design collaboration, and Freja has a really well balanced personal style, and it's just so nice to see this reflected in a personal collection.
Furthermore, the no-season mindset that is currently influencing the fashion industry is a trend Freja has really captured in the new collection. It is therefore not a traditional autumn collection, as it has a great variety of qualities, and a wider style range compared to what we usually see in an autumn collection. Freja’s fashion shines through in the choice of unconventional qualities and especially her choice of transparent materials, which work well with the nod to menswear, which also characterises the collection. We therefore see another unisex collection, which can be used by everyone and for all occasions, making this collection very personal. Menswear” has always spoken to me, and I think it is infuriating how the two things have always had to be kept separate. Hopefully, there will be better times ahead, but we are not quite there yet. Everyone is welcome to wear my collection, and I hope everyone is aware of that! emphasises Freja Wewer, when talking about the new approach.
We have given Freja creative freedom and the opportunity to take an independent and freestyle approach, involving friends and personal sources of inspiration in the campaign, both in front of and behind the camera. The campaign is shot at a summerhouse in North Zealand by model and friend Maria Palm, and with regard to the campaign, Freja says the most important thing for me was to try to capture my life and the spirit of me on camera. I would like to give a piece of myself and do that personally. It was really special to be able to see your friends jumping around and having a good time, in some clothes that you had created yourself. I am really grateful for the good energy that they all brought with them, as this is precisely the type of energy that inspires me.
