ENVII X FREJA WEWER

 

WE HAVE TEAMED UP WITH IT GIRL FREJA WEWER AND HAS BEEN WORKING ON A NEW JOINT
COLLECTION SINCE THE BEGINNING OF 2018, WHICH IS SET TO BE LAUNCHED 20 FEBRUARY

Previously we've enjoyed design collaborations with Pernille Teisbæk and Trines Wardrobe, and is proud to announce the new collaboration with Freja Wewer. The collaboration match was perfect from start as Freja is super-cool, inspiring and a very style-conscious city girl who’s a perfect match for the Envii target audience. In Freja’s own words “It’s been one of my biggest dreams from a young age to be able to design my own collection, so I’m really happy and grateful to have been given this opportunity.”

 

The collection is based on Freja’s casual, boyish and minimalistic style, with timeless designs, which Freja often lacks in her own wardrobe. The inspiration comes mainly from men’s fashion, as well as the American TV series, The Sopranos, from where Freja has been greatly inspired. So, all 25 styles are named after the various characters from the TV series. The new Freja Wewer collection includes 25 different styles of trousers, dresses, shirts and suits, all based on her own personal style. A style which makes her stand out in the current fashion scene, and which Envii as a brand wish to tap into. Envii wanted to create a collection that truly reflects Freja’s unique personality and style, which is why Envii gave Freja the greatest possible creative freedom from the offset.

 

“I’m deeply inspired by the gender-neutral look. I’ve been wearing a mix of boys’ and girls’ clothes for as long as I can remember. Many of my styles are designed so that boys can easily wear them, too. I remember the weird looks I used to get when I was younger and always went into the men’s department - the sales assistants sometimes even went so far as to ask if I was lost! Things are a lot better now, and I want to help that along,” Freja Wewer

 

A blend of black, white and beige reflects the collection’s mix of trousers, dresses, shirts and suits, and is priced at Envii’s normal level, which was also one of the reasons Freja chose to work with Envii. The campaign was shot in the beautiful, raw and authentic architecture of Athens with Freja modelling. According to Freja, Athens was the perfect choice of city to capture the laissez-faire look of the collection.

The collection will be available in all Envii stores and online at Envii.com from 20 February 2019. However, the collection is available on 19 February at an exclusive customer event at Envii’s flagship store at Amagertorv 17 in Copenhagen.
